To ensure you get off on the right foot and succeed, we’ve created a Manager Development Series to eliminate the frequent struggles and challenges that new managers deal with.

This is a 10-week training series that provides aspiring, new, and/or struggling managers the skills, competence and confidence needed to succeed.

  • Psychological Safety

  • Vulnerability, courage, empathy, and authentic engagement

4. Listening and Being Listened To.

  • Active, engaged, and reflective listening skills

  • Effective questioning techniques

5. Performance Management (Part 1).

  • Assigning and delegating work; clarifying expectations and goal setting 

  • Addressing low performance

6. Performance Management (Part 2).

  • Establishing measurements of success and accountability

  • Providing constructive feedback

7. Running Effective Meetings.

  • Having clear objectives

  • Decision or Consensus

8. Managing Conflict.

  • Dealing with challenging behaviour 

  • Having difficult conversations 

9. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making.

  • Identifying the real problem; searching and weighing alternatives

  • Making decisions and evaluating results

10.  Stress Management.

  • Minimizing, mitigating, and dealing with bad stress 

  • Intro to mental health for supervisors
