Working Genius Facilitation

This is a service for Executive Leaders and their teams who recognize they are not functioning at the potential they are capable of.

This is a fabulous assessment tool that awakens teams to their existing gaps and empowers them to re-examine their roles and responsibilities; recruit according to geniuses, and restructure in ways that energize team spirit.

There is a total of six Working Geniuses. All are required for getting work done successfully. We all have two Working Geniuses, two Working Competencies, and two Working Frustrations.

Working Genius

indicates your natural ability; what brings you joy and fulfillment. It consistently gives you energy.

Working Competency

indicates what you can do well but are not fulfilled by. Over time this drains your energy.

Working Frustration

indicates what you dislike doing and find draining, even if you’ve learned to be capable at it.

We should be doing a good portion of our work where we can hold onto the energy for a long time. Working in our Geniuses doesn’t feel like work at all.

The benefits of partaking in the Working Genius are:

  1. The best leaders are self-aware leaders.

  2. Leverage into the geniuses of the team.

  3. Recruit people who can fill the genius gaps.

  4. A clear understanding and recognition of team rhythm and motivation.

  5. Lessen unfair and inaccurate judgments made of others on the team.

  6. Make quick and concrete adjustments to roles and responsibilities.

  7. Tap into strength geniuses of the team.

  8. Get more done in less time

  9. Create a universal company language

  10. Alleviates one’s own guilt about struggles with one’s work.

Problems the Working Genius solves:

  • Inability to identify serious problems and/or opportunities

  • Limited ability to create and/or implement new ideas, services or solutions

  • Unsuccessful buy-in

  • Moving from ideas to implementation too quickly and/or not quickly enough

  • Lack of trust and/or psychological safety

  • Silent participants

  • Individual team contribution vs. all-in team collaboration

Here’s How it Works:

  • We decide on a date for a 4-hour session with you and your team. During our session, the Working Genius model is thoroughly addressed so that you have a better understanding of it. Then we engage in an activity where each participant shares their results. In the latter part of our time together we’ll focus on team benefits, gap analysis, and team mapping.

  • Two days before the first session, each participant will receive the assessment to be completed and submitted.

  • Once the assessment is submitted, each participant will also receive a set of self-reflective questions to fill out and submit before our first session.

  • Results will be shared with each participant on the day we meet.

    Additionally:

I offer you a one-hour session where we strategize ways in which you could implement the Working Genius in a larger scope.

It allowed me time to reflect and become self-aware of my own leadership and areas that I can continue to improve on.”

“Our leadership team took the Working Genius training provided by Jacqueline. I thoroughly enjoyed all the group sessions, as well as my one-on-one time with Jacqueline.

Jacqueline clearly explained the concepts of the Working Geniuses and how they applied to our organization.

I appreciated the one-on-one times as a way to further discuss the concepts taught in the group sessions.”

Melody Lewis Executive Assistant to the CEO, LutherCare Communities

“Jacqueline not only made the time together engaging, she encouraged each of our team members to take the time to process learnings and consider how we, as a team, can best apply, in order to create the most successful outcomes for our organization.

The Working Genius was indeed a great team leadership exercise!”

Erin Kuan, CEO Lung Sask

“I cannot say enough good things about my session with Jacqueline. At first I was quite skeptical of the Working Genius as I don’t particularly love personality tests or the like.

However, the Working Genius is actually a really helpful tool as it helps me to find and undersand my natural joy and how it can work in and work. The key piece in all of this was my session with Jacqueline.

In my session she explained the geniuses, she asked the right questions to help me dig in deep, and ultimately she helped me go beyond the initial assessment and find my actual geniuses which were in fact different from what the original assessment showed.

I look forward to working with Jacqueline again and am excited to see how I continue to explore an apply my geniuses.”
